Your Role and your Team:


We are looking for several outstanding Hardware Design Architects to join our team and to contribute to the design of the REFLEX MKI responsive satellite platform from day one. As part of a mixed team of embedded Hardware and SW engineers, they will actively contribute to the definition of the architecture of the software defined avionics unit, which will be shared among all REFLEX platforms.


Whether you are working on the definition of electronic and electrical systems and related technology solutions, hardware design and development, system integration or our coordination with manufacturers and suppliers, you’ll have the chance to play a fundamental role in supporting a full product lifecycle, from conceptual design and requirement definition to production transition. At the end of your first year at REFLEX, a fully working prototype of the avionics unit will be up and running in our lab.


Your Day to Day:

  • Play an active role in defining and tuning the Hardware Electronic design and development processes and tools

  • Assist the team to sharpen the product vision, to expand and widen it

  • Select ICs and capture schematics

  • Design electronic hardware and PCB layouts

  • Interact with suppliers and manufacturers during production

  • Bring-Up of the hardware

  • Assist embedded software development and system integration

  • Lead technical presentations, product evaluations and benchmarks

What you bring:

  • Passion for our core values - radical innovation, open-mindedness, structured thinking, selflessness and determination

  • Relevant professional experience (Aerospace or similar industry is a plus)

  • Experience on processing and control electronic boards design life cycle

  • FPGA design and verification life cycle is a plus

  • Experience with Schematic capture and PCB layout board EDA tools, and with grounding, shielding and EMC design techniques, Altium Designer is a plus

  • High level of self-reliance and an autonomous target-oriented work style

  • Fluent English language skills are essential, Fluent German or any other language is a plus

  • Strong motivation to help build structures and processes to improve the overall design quality, integrity and design process efficiency

  • Willing to relocate to Berlin
