Head of Finance - Reflex Aerospace

Your Mission:

As we rapidly expand our team of over 40 dedicated professionals and ramp up our engineering and production capabilities, we're in search of a Head of Finance to steer the financial direction of the company. Your expertise will play an integral role in shaping our financial management strategies and ensuring optimal use of resources and capital.

Role Description: As the Head of Finance, you will be at the helm of all financial tasks, taking ownership of financial modeling, planning, controlling, and operations. Your strategic mindset will be invaluable as you develop new financial strategies and provide guidance to the management team on all financial matters. You won't be alone in this endeavor; a supportive operations team will assist you, particularly in financial operations and accounting matters.
Our vision for you extends beyond the immediate responsibilities. As our company continues to grow and evolve, there's potential for this role to transition into a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Planning: Organize and manage company-wide financial planning. Your foresight will be instrumental in anticipating financial needs and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately.
Budget Oversight: Advise management on the approval or rejection of budgets. Your insights will ensure that our financial plans align with the company's objectives and growth targets.
Financial Controlling & Accounting: Oversee these critical areas to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a clear picture of the company's financial health.
Fundraising Planning: Prepare and strategize for fundraising activities, ensuring we attract the right investors and secure beneficial terms.
Investment Advising: Evaluate potential investment opportunities, ensuring they align with our company's vision and promise tangible returns.
Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough profit and cost analyses to identify trends, potential areas of growth, and opportunities for cost-saving.
Cost-Reduction: Recommend solutions and strategies to reduce costs without compromising on quality or our company values.
Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities, including internal audits, are in line with financial regulations, maintaining our company's reputation and financial integrity.

Your Background:

Expertise: Proven experience in crafting and implementing financial strategies, along with hands-on experience in financial planning.
Relevant Work Experience: A minimum of three years in the professional arena, with a preference for experience in a deep tech startup environment.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in Financial Management or a closely related field. Alternatively, equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Language & Regulatory Proficiency: Knowledge of the German language and familiarity with financial regulations in Germany will be a significant advantage.
